CSV Merge

consolidate your data exports. Our CSV Merge tool allows you to upload multiple CSV files and stack them into a single, unified file. It intelligently aligns headers, so even if your columns are in different orders, the data stays consistent. If some files have extra columns, the tool can merge them or keep only the common fields. This is perfect for combining daily sales reports, aggregating survey results, or joining data from different regional branches. All merging happens locally for maximum privacy.

Questions People Ask

Honest answers about how this works.

What if the column names don't match exactly?

The tool matches headers exactly, so Product Name and product name are treated as different columns. If the spellings disagree, run the files through our Column Manager first to rename them into one consistent set, then come back and merge. Files are read with the first row as headers, never as data.

Is there any a limit on how many files I can merge?

Honestly? You can merge dozens of files; the practical ceiling is your browser's available memory, since the whole combined dataset is held locally before the result is written. Very large inputs may be limited by your device rather than by the tool, so split files with CSV Split first if memory is tight.

Does every file need a header row?

Yes, every file should start with a header row because the merge aligns columns by those names, not by position. Files are parsed with the first row treated as column names, empty lines are skipped, and rows are matched into the unified schema before the stacked result is rebuilt.
