Our drag-and-drop interface lays every page out as a vertical list of thumbnails, letting you grab any page and slide it to its new position; the list animates as you drag so the new order is obvious before you commit. A Reverse Order button flips the whole sequence in one click, handy for back-to-front scans or countdown decks. Only page order changes: the save step rebuilds the file with pdf-lib by copying your pages into a new document, so text, images, and links keep their original quality with no re-encoding. The output filename is editable and defaults to rearranged_document, and the whole job runs locally in your browser. Perfect for fixing mis-scanned multi-page documents, rearranging chapters in a combined PDF file, pulling key pages to the front, or organizing presentation decks.

Does reordering affect bookmarks or links?
Great question. Page order changes do not rewrite the document's internal reference data, so outlines and internal links may still point at the positions they originally described, which can feel off after a reorder. We are working on a feature to update those references automatically; ordinary external links are unaffected.
Does the new order change quality or file size?
No. The save step copies each page object into a fresh PDF without rendering or compression, so text stays sharp, images keep their exact quality, and the file size remains essentially the same as the original document minus nothing, since no pages are added or removed.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No. PDF.js renders the thumbnails on a local canvas, your drag order lives in page state, and pdf-lib assembles the final file, all inside your tab. Nothing is sent to a server, which makes the tool safe for contracts, case files, and other sensitive paperwork.
