Text Inverter

A fun and functional tool for text manipulation. The Text Inverter can swap the case of every letter, turning lowercase into uppercase and vice versa across your entire input, or flip whole lines upside down using a built-in character map. It can also reverse line order for quick structural flips. Useful for creating unique social media posts, disguising spoilers, or applying simple obfuscation before sharing text publicly. Every transformation happens instantly in your browser as you type, with no accounts, uploads, or server calls involved. Casual users reach for it to fix accidental caps lock, while moderators and developers use it for playful styling and light text obfuscation. Results update in real time, so you can copy the finished text the moment it looks right.

Questions People Ask

Honest answers about how this works.

What is case inversion?

Case inversion swaps the state of every letter: each uppercase character becomes lowercase and each lowercase character becomes uppercase. Digits, spaces, and punctuation are left untouched, so only the alphabetic characters in your text change when you apply it to your input.

Does my text leave the browser?

No. The Text Inverter transforms your input locally with simple character mapping rules. Nothing is transmitted, saved, or tracked, which means private messages, passwords you are reshaping, or draft content stay entirely on your device at all times for the entire session.

Will inverting break my emojis or special characters?

No. Case inversion only touches letters; emojis, numbers, spaces, and symbols pass through unchanged. The upside-down mode maps only the characters it has equivalents for, so anything unmapped is simply kept as-is rather than dropped or corrupted in the output.

Why does my upside-down text look scrambled?

Upside-down conversion relies on Unicode lookalike characters, so some fonts render them better than others. If a few glyphs look wrong, try a different app or font when posting. Punctuation is also mirrored, which can look odd at first, but that is normal.
