Great question. This tool applies global opacity. For specific color removal, please check our 'Remove BG' tool.
Does it work on JPEGs?
Yes, you can upload a JPEG, but the tool will convert it to a PNG to support the new transparency data.
What opacity should I use for a watermark?
Somewhere between 15% and 35% is the usual range. Below that the mark all but disappears on busy images, and above 50% it starts competing with the picture behind it. Set the slider, check it on both sides of the checkerboard, then download the PNG.
