What counts as a word?
Text is split on whitespace, so each separated token counts once, including numbers, bullet markers attached to words, and text inside tables and grouped shapes. Speaker notes are tallied separately, letting you include or exclude them from the final totals.
Does my presentation get uploaded for counting?
No. The deck is parsed and every word is counted locally in your browser. Confidential scripts and client material never leave your device, and no copy of the file or its text is transmitted or stored anywhere while you use the tool.
How is speaking time estimated?
