Using this visual signature, we search through thousands of Google Fonts to find the closest matches, helping you maintain consistent typography in your own projects. Everything runs on a canvas in your own tab: the crop is thresholded to isolate the text, the letters are measured for serif presence, stroke contrast, x-height ratio, aperture, and stress angle, and each candidate is scored against a curated Google Fonts catalog that also weighs popularity. Candidates are then re-rendered and pixel-compared against your crop, so the ranking reflects both anatomy and shape.
