Protect your documents from unauthorized use. Our PDF Watermark tool overlays custom text or a logo image across every page of your PDF using pdf-lib, drawing the mark directly into each page's content stream so it prints and travels with the document. Choose between a text stamp, rendered in bold Helvetica and centered on the page, or upload a PNG or JPEG logo. An opacity slider from 0.1 to 1 controls how strongly the mark shows through, a rotation control sweeps from -180 to 180 degrees in 5-degree steps for a diagonal sweep, and the size control sets font points for text or a percentage of page width for images. A live first-page preview rendered with PDF.js approximates the result before you commit, and the finished file downloads as your original filename plus a _watermarked suffix. All processing happens in your browser.

Can I really remove the watermark later?
Not from the watermarked file. The mark is drawn into each page's content stream rather than stored as a separate object, so there is nothing to select and delete. We recommend keeping a copy of your original un-watermarked file for clean future edits.
Will the watermark show up when I print?
Yes. Because the watermark is part of the page content itself, it appears on screen, in any PDF reader, and on paper exactly as the preview suggests. Adjust the opacity slider if you need the underlying text to stay comfortably readable in print.
Can I watermark only selected pages?
No, the tool applies your watermark uniformly to every page in the document, which keeps protection consistent from the first page to the last. If you need a mark on only part of a file, split the document first, watermark the section you want, and merge them back.
Is my logo and document uploaded?
No. Your logo is read with the browser's local file reader, the preview renders with PDF.js on a local canvas, and pdf-lib writes the final file, all inside your tab. Nothing is sent to a server, so confidential drafts stay confidential throughout the job.
