You can specify multiple ranges at once and download them all as a single ZIP archive. Ranges accept comma-separated lists with dashes and open ends like 10-, numbers outside the document are clamped back to a valid page, and a single range yields one PDF with a _split suffix while multi-range or every-page jobs arrive as a ZIP whose files carry _part_N or _page_N numbering. Pages are copied structurally with pdf-lib, so each segment keeps the original formatting, hyperlinks, and embedded assets. Essential for extracting chapters from textbooks, separating combined invoice batches, pulling specific pages for client review, or splitting bulky legal documents into case-file segments. Processing is 100% client-side, so your documents never leave your browser.

Can I really split password-protected PDFs?
Short answer: No. The splitter relies on pdf-lib, which cannot open encrypted PDFs at all, so a protected file fails immediately with a clear error instead of prompting for a password. Remove the encryption in a trusted desktop tool first, then split the unlocked copy here.
How are the split files named?
A single range produces one PDF named after your original with a _split suffix. When you enter several ranges or choose the every-page mode, the tool packages everything into a ZIP archive whose members are numbered _part_1, _part_2, and so on, or _page_1, _page_2 for single-page splits.
Can I use open-ended ranges like 10-?
Yes. A dash with nothing after it means from that page to the end of the document, so 10- grabs pages 10 onward, and a lone number such as 8 selects just that page. Any number beyond the last page is clamped back instead of creating empty segments.
