Waiting for input...Tool Settings
Embed icons and logos directly in CSS or HTML with zero extra requests, and minify first so the embed stays as small as possible.
All processing happens locally in your browser. Large files are handled in memory and never uploaded to any server.
SVG to Base64
Encode vector graphics for the web with our SVG to Base64 converter. Paste SVG markup to get back Base64, either raw for APIs and JSON or as a complete data:image/svg+xml URI ready for img tags and CSS. Every input is validated as well-formed XML with a real <svg> root before encoding, so broken markup fails fast with a clear message. An optional minifier strips comments and whitespace for a smaller embed with identical rendering, and UTF-8 safe encoding keeps international text and symbols intact. Everything runs instantly and locally in your browser.
Why This Tool Exists

Validated Input: Broken markup caught before encoding.
Smaller Embeds: Minification cuts comments and whitespace.
Two Outputs: Raw payloads and ready data URIs.
Unicode Safe: International content encodes correctly.

Questions People Ask
Honest answers about how this works.
What is the difference between this and Text to Base64?
Text to Base64 encodes anything with no questions asked. SVG to Base64 validates that the input is real, well-formed SVG first, optionally minifies it for smaller output, and offers a data URI format built for embedding.
Does my markup leave the browser?
No. Validation, minification, and encoding all run locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, logged, or stored.
What does minify actually remove?
XML comments, line breaks, and whitespace between tags. Text content and attribute values are preserved exactly, so rendering is pixel-identical at a smaller size.
Should I use raw Base64 or the data URI?
Raw Base64 suits APIs, JSON fields, and tokens. The data URI includes the data:image/svg+xml prefix, so it pastes directly into img src attributes and CSS url() values.
